Sunshine, Warmth and Outdoor Adventures

We’ve had sun! And heat! It’s gone again now of course, and we’re back to general chilly dreariness, but still… we had a few days of lovely weather. Consequently we’ve been outdoors a lot making the most of it. Here’s the last couple of weeks of our adventures in pictures…

  1. what a wonderful week in pictures! awesome that you got to spend so much time out! my favorites were you and she making faces, the monster tea party, I love all the climbing, there weren’t such wonderful play structures when I was young. fantastic!

    • Yeh I’m trying to get Nookie outside a bit more… she’s a bit of a handful at the minute and pretty much the only time I’m not getting intensely frustrated with her is when she’s outside! Ha ha.
Yeh I know, parks were shit when I was a kid. Probably because there was a conservative government and they don’t believe in spending money on stuff like that. The last government built loads of really good parks… that are all falling into disrepair again now the conservatives are in again. :( That particular park is in a RSPB nature reserve, and I think you’re actually supposed to pay to go in… but we sneaked in. He he he.

      • New parks are getting built all the time here. In some areas it’s part of what builders have to do because of taking up so much land, There are really nice ones too, that have wheelchair swings, and really wide walkways and handholds everywhere. One really cool one that was made out of big wide poles was recently torched to the ground, again.
Keep sneaking in, you both look like you had fun!

      • That’s really cool. I’ve never seen a park like that here. Yeh it’s always a shame when they’re vandalised. That’s how I remember parks from my childhood. And that’s kind of how they’re going again now as they’re not being repaired. You have to pay most of the time if you want a really nice park.

      • Boo! to having to pay!!!
