About Me

PDR_0065
This is me. aNonyMous… mother, partner, goth, hippy, feminist, atheist, anarchist, lactivist, dreamer…..

I’m 30 years old and I have two beautiful little girls… . Nookie and Smushface (pseudonyms). We live in a small, deprived town in the north of England. I’m a full-time carer to my partner, who is disabled. We also have eight cats and two crazy dogs. (Yes, my life is hectic at times!). We’re financially really quite poor. But we’re free, and that’s more important.

I love life. And I love being a mother. My children have made me into the person I have always wanted to be, and I love sharing our life together. This blog is a document of our family’s adventures together through attachment parenting, radical unschooling, breastfeeding… and anything else that I care to rant write about!

I love hearing from people too, so please comment on my blog, ask questions, email me… whatever. It’s a big world out there, and connection with others can only be a good thing. 🙂

  1. hi clever lady. i am sorry for what ever life experience keeps you anonymous (aNonyMous — hehehe, made me grin) but HAPPY you didn’t let it keep you from being WHO YOU ARE and putting you and your thoughts, insights, acknowledgments, etc… out there for the rest of us. I wrote one of the articles you mentioned this week (on feminism and attachment parenting) and got a ping back on it which brought me to you. Don’t you just LOVE the connect we are ala the internet? I do. Just wanted to pass on a big huge hug for taking the time to say a nice word about the things you read that you find value in.

I’ve heard it said that character is how you treat people who can do nothing for you… and you, my dear have OOODDDLLEES of it. Keep on being you and putting love out there into the world. YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

  2. I like your sense of pizazz and wish you much luck in your bakery dream! I am a homeschooling mom who lives all the waaay up in Sequoia National Forest, CA. I won’t call us radical, but we definitely do our own thing… I will be following along and look forward to reading more of your posts. If you have the time and interest, I would love if you checked out my blog of kids projects and mom stuff. My daughter goes by “Captain”, and I think that “Nookie” is pretty darned cute.
    Cheers to ya!

    • Welcome.
Oooh your blog looks good! I don’t have time at the minute but I’ll check it out properly a bit later. Looks like lots of interesting projects and ideas… I’m always looking for ideas for activities with Nookie.

  3. *creeps in* genuinely didn’t check to see if you even use this blog any more. So this comment may fall into the internet, never to be seen!

But I basically stumbled upon your ”how to tell you’re a psych nurse” or something along those lines when my old old CPN posted in on facebook and was pondering ” Do I really want to read this… ” I shouldn’t have :p however it was completely 100% on point and wonderful and did give me a giggle 90% of it and also after being with the MH system since age 10 I luckily have learnt that when I come across the right staff in and out of hospital, the best nurses are those that use their sassy witty jokes :p
Especially because they can happily accept I also must make jokes about my insanity because otherwise I’d just cry constantly! So this is just a little praise for that post!

But then I had a tiny stalk and just want to say I think you’re way of writing is great. I really do admire people who can blog and articulate themselves really welll. And thank you for the nearly 4am giggles.
    *creeps out*
